Karen, Such a classic and beautiful dress. I really love the color on you, and the buttons were the perfect find from your Mother’s wonderful vintage button collection. I’m sure she would be pleased to know that you still use them. Also, I was happy to read that your Mother purchased them from the Ruth of Carolina manufacturer. I and my sisters grew up wearing those dresses for Sunday and for dressy parties. Wish they were still in business.
If you make this pattern again, I hope you will give some thought to making the mandarin collar as it complements the obi-style sash, in my opinion. I am sure you will receive many compliments on your dress.
